The Bible says it’s okay to eat meat.
And that’s what a New Zealand bishop says.
Bishop Michael Jackson said that God’s word says that people should be able to eat anything.
“I think that’s absolutely the word of God, and it is the only way we can live in this world,” he said.
He also said that he didn’t want to see people in New Zealand eat pork, even though he’s a vegetarian.
The bishop said he believes the Bible has already taught people to eat whatever they want, but that he thinks that we should be guided by that as well.
Jackson says that God also told him that pork was a “dirty animal”.””
If you go to any restaurant, and they are offering meat and you ask for pork, they will give you the same, I would suggest, you’re doing what God said you should do.”
Jackson says that God also told him that pork was a “dirty animal”.
“We’re supposed to cleanse ourselves of all that dirty stuff and cleanse our conscience, which is very important,” he told Newstalk ZB.
He said he’s not the first to raise the issue.
“A few weeks ago, I had a letter from a woman who was going to a church that was going in the opposite direction,” he recalled.
Jackson also said he thinks we need to get used to the idea that God does not allow us to have the same views as others.
We’re not a religious country, he said, but we are the home of Christianity.
“It’s important to be honest and to have a little bit of humility.”
