Yellowstone National park is one of the biggest and most diverse parks in the United States, and while there are a few camping options in the park, camping in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is definitely one of them.
The Grand Stairs and Escalante are a series of high-altitude, remote mountain passes, each of which has its own unique hiking and camping options.
One of the most popular places to camp is at the Campgrounds at the top of Grand Stables, located in the Upper Stairs section of the park.
At the Campground, you can either camp at the designated tent site or at a nearby campground, such as The Hole or the Cattle Campground.
There are also campsites scattered throughout the park and several camping areas within the Grand Canyon.
When camping in Yellowstone National, you’re allowed up to a 30-foot tent and are not allowed to take more than one animal with you.
Camping at the Grand Strand or the Rock Creek Campground is the ideal place to relax and explore the park without any additional equipment.
