Posted September 16, 2018 12:12:18It’s hard to imagine that the world’s biggest roller coaster was built with the same exact design as the famous River Park, but it’s true.
A design competition in Japan has awarded the Trampoline Park at River Park in Tramp, Oregon, the new Guinness World Record for the most roller coaster in the world.
The Trampoleta has been in use since 1974.
It was originally a four-track roller coaster built in Tokyo, and then moved to its current location in 1993.
This photo of the new Trampoliks at River park, Oregon shows it with a different configuration, as the track is now part of the roller coaster.
The coaster has been open since July 31, 2018, and the record is currently set at 8:30 p.m. local time.
The competition, run by Guinness World Records, was hosted by the American Association of Roller Coasters (AARRC) and the California Roller Derby Association (CRDA).
A total of 25 countries participated in the contest, and there were six finalists.
The winning design will be revealed in 2019.
The winner of the competition, which was held at the California National Railroad Museum, will be announced at the 2019 California Roller derby championships, which take place on September 17 and 18.
