An internet-connected car has been fitted with an electric motor and charged with a battery that can last 100 years.
The car has taken a year to complete the project.
The company behind the project, the company called Smart Cars, said the car could go from zero to 100km/h in about 15 minutes.
This means it could take an average driver less than three minutes to complete a full-day journey from Sydney to Melbourne.
The vehicle, called the Power Car, is one of several projects to explore the use of technology to save the world.
The first project in Australia, called Future World, used an internet-enabled vehicle to help a team of researchers on a trip to the Amazon.
